Focus on Whose Voice It is
“Whose voice is it going on in your head? Let’s focus on the voice coming from heart.”
If you are feeling like confused and cannot get out of negative feelings, please try some methods mentioned below. In the case, there should be lots of kinds of noise going on in your head. Keep trying to observe the noise, although you may not want to hear; gradually you will be able to hear it as some words, they may be something like these:
There is no way you can do that.
That is impossible.
You can't do this.
It's too late at this age.
You can't be only a handful of people.
What nonsense you are saying!
You are just a spoiled person.
Become a fully competent person!
You are not good enough for that.
Look at the reality.
Once the noise has been verbalized, then let's take a closer look to see whose voice it is. Maybe it is not your own voice.
It may be something your parents told you a long time ago, or something you heard on TV or in magazines. If you try to remember when and by whom you were said the words, you will realize that the noise was actually just pulling out old memories in your head and it was not absolutely true.
As you repeating the practice of noticing the source of the noise, the noise in your head will gradually become quieter. Then you will realize that there have been another warmer and gentler voice that make you feel safe from a long time ago.
It is the voice of your own heart; it is always keeping saying, "This is what I want to do! This is what I want to be!"
It would be fantastic to be able to increase the time being aware of the voice coming from the heart whispering by our side all the time with really gentle volume that is so hard to notice in head with negative noise.
